Living Biology.
Stronger in Any System.

We are gathering field data to demonstrate our Phase 1 Bacillus megaterium structure: a single living product that drives plant growth, rebuilds the root-zone microbiome, and cuts synthetic inputs. It works for organic and conventional growers alike, from open fields, lawns and community gardens to raised beds, urban plantings and hydroponic systems.

Who We AreOur Mission

RAD Microbes is a Texas-based regenerative agriculture company on a mission to halt the desertification advancing across America's heartland, from Texas and the Midwest through to California's Central Valley. We formulate living Bacillus consortia that restore the microbial rhizosphere depleted by intensive growing, rebuilding soil and root systems that hold water and nutrients while cutting dependence on synthetic inputs, and giving organic farmers stronger biological support. From broad-acre farms and turf to community gardens and urban greening, the same biology works with or without synthetic fertilizer.

Four biological functions in one living input. Our liquid consortium is built around Bacillus megaterium, a root-colonising bacterium that solubilises locked phosphate and trace minerals, anchors a healthy rhizosphere, and stimulates vigorous top and root growth: plant growth, soil health, biofertilization and biostimulation. The same biology works across row crops, vegetables, raised beds, containers and hydroponic systems. Deliver it to the soil or into the water, and measure the results on your site with genomic sequencing.

Plant Growth

Biostimulation

Root colonisation and growth-promoting compounds drive deeper roots, stronger stands and heat & water-stress tolerance.

Soil Health

Structure & Water

More filamentous and beneficial bacteria build aggregation, porosity and water retention, for living soil that holds moisture and resists degradation.

Biofertilization

Nutrient Cycling

Phosphate solubilisation and stronger nitrogen cycling free up nutrients already in your soil. It cuts fertilizer costs, and it's fully at home in organic programs.

Resilience

Crop Protection

A diverse microbial community suppresses opportunistic pathogens and outcompetes stress-linked genera. Benign by design.

Independent Genomic Sequencing · Treated Soil vs. Untreated
786%
More nitrite oxidizers, for dramatically stronger nitrification.
179%
More filamentous bacteria, for better structure & water retention.
50%
Potential reduction in opportunistic pathogens.
20-30%
Indicated fertilizer savings, with 5-15% yield upside.
16S rRNA genomic sequencing of treated vs. untreated soils · replicated RAD Microbes trials, 2025 · ammonia oxidizers +133% and phosphate accumulators enriched in treated soil.
The Biology

A Living Bacillus Consortium

  • B. megaterium: solubilises phosphate & trace minerals, colonises roots, drives growth and yield.
  • B. licheniformis: enzymes break down organic matter, releasing bound nutrients.
  • B. subtilis: biosurfactants suppress pathogens and improve water infiltration.
  • Supporting strains: nitrogen cycling, remediation and community resilience.
Application Rates

From the Field to the Windowsill

  • Fields, turf & landscapes1 litre / acre
  • Garden beds & vegetables4 tbsp / 2-gal can
  • Containers & potted plants1 tbsp / 1-gal can
  • Hydroponic & soilless1 tbsp / 1-gal reservoir
Apply to the soil or into the water. Never onto the leaves. To activate, stir in a small amount of molasses (about 1 tbsp per gallon) before applying. Skip the molasses for hydroponic, and re-dose reservoirs at each change.

The Free Pilot, Simply.

RAD Microbes supplies the product at no cost and covers the genomic laboratory analysis. We grow microbe-treated plants beside an untreated control on your site, whether that's a field, a lawn, a community plot or a hydroponic rack. Following the growth period we run genomics analysis on both, comparing treated against control. You receive the complete dataset, and with your consent your results may be featured in our published findings. The upside is real; the downside is none.

This data directs our understanding of how Bacillus megaterium performs in real growing conditions. Over the next few years we are expanding into further microbe additions and into pellet formulations, and your results help guide that work.

  • Free to host: we provide product and lab work; you provide the space.
  • Treated vs. control: microbe-treated plants beside an untreated control grown without microbes.
  • Genomics analysis: root-zone microbiome sequenced following the growth period, treated versus control.
  • Measured outcomes: growth, vigour, soil/water health & disease pressure.
